MARGARET WILKINSON, Ph.D.

Margaret Wilkinson, phd

Whether we work at home or in an office away, we know the importance of healthy choices and how those choices determine our well-being and success. Healthy living policies don’t have to start from the corporate top floor. Better health begins with us, right now. It’s all about the everyday leadership choices we make when we buy lunch, go outside for fresh air or save enough energy at the end of the day for those who matter most to us.

That’s the focus of HealthWorks Coaching, dedicated to finding health solutions for people who work. Join me, Margaret Wilkinson, as I sift through the latest medical research and expert opinions for practical ways to take control of your health and work well every day.

Dr. Wilkinson received her Ph.D. in psychology from The Fielding Institute in Santa Barbara, California and was one of the first psychologists chosen to receive a post-doctorate Fellowship in Cardiac Rehabilitation and Consulting Psychiatry at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. She was also on the staff of the Meyer Friedman Institute during the Coronary and Cancer Prevention Project, the first study of its kind in the U.S.

ICFCurrently, Margaret is on the Faculty of MentorCoach, a coach training program accredited by the International Coaching Federation. Her interest in nutrition and exercise began in her years as a dancer, which included an appearance with the Alvin Ailey Company. She is a competitive tennis player and an aspiring cowgirl, and lives with her husband and teenage daughter in Santa Ynez Valley, California.
